Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara – Afternoon Game Drive
Depart Nairobi in the morning for a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley, stopping briefly at viewpoints for photos. Arrive in the Mara by early afternoon and check into your eco-lodge or tented camp. After lunch and a short rest, embark on your first game drive in the Mara, searching for lions, elephants, giraffes, and other wildlife. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge or camp.
Day 2: Full-Day Safari in Maasai Mara
Begin the day with an early morning game drive to catch predators returning from a night hunt. After breakfast, continue with a full-day safari across the rolling plains, carrying a packed picnic lunch. Keep watch for the Big Five, cheetahs, and possibly the dramatic river crossings of the Great Migration (in season). Optional: Maasai village visit. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Morning Drive or Hot-Air Balloon Safari – Return to Nairobi
On your final day, you have the option to start with a magical hot-air balloon safari (available at an additional cost), floating over the plains at sunrise and finishing with a champagne breakfast in the bush. Alternatively, enjoy a morning game drive to catch one last glimpse of the wildlife. After breakfast, check out of your accommodation and begin the scenic drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. We’ll drop you off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight, or at your hotel/residence in Nairobi, marking the end of your unforgettable safari adventure.
