Travel Consultant

Role Summary

The Travel Consultant is responsible for assisting clients with safari planning, preparing quotations, designing itineraries, responding to inquiries, and ensuring a smooth booking experience from initial contact through the successful completion of their journey.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Respond to client inquiries via email, phone, WhatsApp, and other communication channels.
  • Prepare accurate safari quotations and customized itineraries.
  • Advise clients on destinations, accommodation options, activities, and travel requirements.
  • Follow up on inquiries and convert leads into bookings.
  • Coordinate bookings with accommodation providers, transport providers, and other suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate customer and booking records.
  • Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after travel.
  • Assist with marketing and promotional activities when required.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Certificate or Diploma in Tourism Management, Travel & Tourism, Hospitality Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in the travel, tourism, hospitality, or customer service industry will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Driver Guide / Safari Guide

Role Summary

The Driver Guide / Safari Guide is responsible for safely transporting guests, delivering engaging and informative safari experiences, and ensuring the highest standards of customer service throughout every journey.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Safely drive guests to and from safari destinations.
  • Conduct game drives while sharing knowledge of Kenya’s wildlife, landscapes, history, and culture.
  • Ensure the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of guests throughout the safari.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of assigned safari vehicles.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance issues.
  • Assist guests with luggage and travel logistics where required.
  • Comply with all traffic regulations, park rules, and company policies.
  • Represent Giorgi Safaris professionally at all times.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum KCSE certificate.
  • Valid Kenyan driving licence with the appropriate class for safari vehicles.
  • Valid PSV licence and any other legally required permits.
  • Certificate or Diploma in Tour Guiding, Tourism Management, Wildlife Management, or a related field will be an added advantage.
  • Previous experience as a Driver Guide / Safari Guide will be an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of Kenya’s tourism destinations, wildlife, and road network.
  • Excellent spoken English. Knowledge of additional foreign languages will be an added advantage.
